Two ropes, one 10' and one 30' or longer.

To set up, tie the short and long ropes together securely. Then tie the other end of the short rope to an immobile object, such as a post or the knob of a closed door. Tell everyone to grab a hold of the long rope. Nobody should be touching the short rope. Your goal is to tie a knot in the short rope without ever touching the short rope itself. Participants may hold onto only the long rope. They may move along the long rope but are not allowed to let go of it or trade places with others in the line. Remember, no touching the short rope. It's knot easy.

Who in your group came up with a solution that worked? How did others help support that solution? How could you do the same thing to help support other decisions that your family makes?
