Newspaper, tape.

To set up, roll sheets of newspaper together so that they form tubes one inch in diameter. Tape enough tubes together to form a tube about six feet long. Tell participants to form two lines facing each other. Next, tell them to stand shoulder to shoulder, bend their arms at the elbow, and extend their index fingers. Place the newspaper tube on top of their extended index fingers. The goal for the group is to lower the tube to the ground without losing physical contact with the tube. Index fingers must remain separated from one another, and no other fingers or parts of the body may have contact with the tube. If participants lose contact while trying to lower the tube, they must immediately bring their fingers back in contact or the group must start over.

What was the group's experience? How did the group work together to lower the tube? How could you apply this to accomplishing another kind of goal for your family?
