Balloons.

Blow up enough balloons so that you can fit one balloon between every person while standing in a single file line facing forward. When balloons and people are in place, everyone should have a balloon in front of them except for the first person in line. Your goal is to walk from one end of your house to another without letting any balloons drop to the floor. When moving together as a group, you may not touch the balloons with your hands. If the group loses a balloon, everyone must work together to retrieve and insert it again without losing additional balloons. Too easy? Try adding obstacles to your journey (e.g., step over a stool or go under a table). For the greatest challenge, try moving together without touching the person in front or behind you -- balloons are your only points of physical contact.

Why was it difficult to keep the balloons in place? Did your group get better with more practice? What are areas in your family that might see improvement with more practice or teamwork? |
